The UPD College of Engineering is thrilled to announce the successful completion of the Graduation Program for the students of the National Service Training Program (NSTP). This momentous event, which marks the culmination of the academic year 2022-2023, takes place in 2 parts, (today) June 19th and on June 23rd 2023, at the UP School of Statistics auditorium premises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program commenced with the registration of the graduates, followed by the grand entrance of the UP Rayadillo, displaying vibrant colors that symbolize the institution’s spirit and pride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Distinguished guests, faculty members, parents, and students were welcomed by Prof. Dennis F. Quilala, the Director of NSTP Diliman, who delivered an insightful opening speech. Prof. Quilala shared words of encouragement and expressed his pride in the accomplishments of the graduating students, commending their dedication and hard work throughout their journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Engr. Jill Z. Manapat, the Co-Founder of the Humanitarian Engineering, Entrepreneurship, and Design (HEED) Program, was invited as the esteemed Guest Speaker. Engr. Manapat delivered an inspiring message that encouraged the graduates to leverage their engineering skills and make a positive impact in their communities and the world at large.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The atmosphere was further elevated by a captivating performance from the UP Engineering Choir, captivating the audience with their uplifting musical rendition. The choir’s enchanting performance added a touch of artistry to the ceremony, leaving the attendees spellbound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The highlight of the event was the Awarding of the Certificate of Recognition to the graduates, acknowledging their outstanding achievements. Prof. Dennis F. Quilala, along with Asst. Prof. Rosabelle Louise Caram from NSTP Engineering, presented the certificates to the graduates, symbolizing their successful completion of the program and their readiness to contribute to society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, the program took a moment to appreciate the invaluable contribution of the partner organizations and communities who supported the NSTP initiatives. These partners were recognized for their collaboration and dedication in fostering meaningful and impactful community engagement programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Asst. Prof. Likha G. Minimo, the Deputy Director of the National Service Reserve Corps (NSRC), led the new members of NSRC in taking an oath, pledging their commitment to serve as catalysts for positive change through research and academic pursuits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ceremony concluded with the spirited singing of “Bagong Bayani,” an anthem that celebrates the new generation of heroes emerging from the College of Engineering. Asst. Prof. Rosabelle Louise Caram delivered the closing speech, expressing her heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved in the success of the NSTP Graduation Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To mark the end of the event, the UP Rayadillo exited the venue while the participants sang the beloved alma mater hymn, “UP Naming Mahal,” symbolizing the shared pride and loyalty to the esteemed university. The event was successfully hosted by Engr. Jessica Junio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
